Ginseng and tribulus have similar positive effects on human health. Most commonly, they are attributed with maintaining comprehensive life vitality well into old age. Both have a positive effect on body health and mind harmonization. Their potential uses for therapeutic effects are therefore extraordinarily wide.

Not All Ginseng Is Created Equal

If the confusion in ginseng labeling doesn't seem important to you, you can skip this paragraph. However, if the crowd of so many ginsengs offering their magical effects keeps you awake at night, read on–you'll learn everything right away. Many plant species are currently labeled as ginseng, some of which aren't even related to each other, and their naming was derived only from the similarity of effects with the renowned true ginseng (Panax ginseng). True ginseng itself is then divided according to cultivation location into Korean ginseng, Manchurian or Chinese ginseng, but can also be labeled according to processing method (e.g., red ginseng, white ginseng) and other characteristics. A whole additional array of ginsengs with various attributes is then derived from the Panax genus itself, so these are relatives of the most famous representative of this genus, namely true ginseng.

The most widely used and most researched of these closest relatives is American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius, five-leaf ginseng). It balances blood pressure, increases immunity, and improves digestion. This miraculous plant of immortality and longevity, which you'll prepare as tea, can be purchased from Pěstík here.

However, you'll search in vain for many other plants proudly bearing the ginseng label within the Panax genus. But this in no way diminishes their health effects. For example, the very well-known Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus, eleuthero) is used for body regeneration, increases immunity, and also helps fight fatigue. Pěstík has prepared it for you here.

Tribulus Terrestris: A Rediscovered Panacea

Tribulus terrestris is an ancient medicinal herb that is currently known mainly as an aphrodisiac. It helps regulate hormone levels in both sexes. People with kidney or liver problems also praise it; it lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and overall contributes to body regeneration. The entire plant is medicinal, but most commonly its aerial parts are used for infusion preparation, which you can find at Pěstík here.

Growing Tribulus and Ashwagandha from Seeds

In Pěstík's offer, you'll find seeds of tribulus and Indian ginseng (Withania somnifera, ashwagandha), which is known for its antioxidant effects, increases stress resistance and provides energy. You can grow both in the garden or in containers.

Tribulus is an annual plant. Pre-grow the seedlings from seeds at home in spring. Pay attention to maintaining moisture and good ventilation. The seeds will start germinating in two weeks, though it may take longer. Once it warms up, you can plant them in the garden about 20 cm apart. It will also thrive in containers - from Pěstík's range, you can try the herb substrate Vita Natura.

Indian ginseng is a perennial herb that loves sun but cannot tolerate frost. Therefore, it's grown here either as a portable plant or as an annual. In the latter case, the entire plants are harvested and dried in autumn, and new ones are grown from seeds again the following year. During the season, it needs fertilizing with organic fertilizers.
