We're Fertilizing! Which Fertilizer is the Right One?
Plagron Alga Grow 250ml
Plagron Alga Grow is an organo-mineral fertiliser that contains essential elements: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, therefore marked with the NPK abbreviation. In addition, it also contains magnesium and other necessary trace elements. It is not a purely organic fertiliser and is used for the plant growth phase. Use 5 ml of fertiliser per 1 litre of water. You can use this concentrate every time you water your plants.
After the growth phase, it is recommended to switch to Terra Bloom fertiliser, which will ensure beautiful and healthy flowers. A great advantage of this fertiliser is its simple preparation - just add the measured dose of fertiliser to water and mix thoroughly. Satisfactory results will appear after a short period of use. Due to its mineral content, it is not suitable for water media, as it could clog hydroponic systems.
This fertiliser can also be used on mother plants that are grown for clone or cutting production. This fertiliser supports the formation of strong roots and promotes leaf development and growth, plus it helps the plant cope with changes in climatic conditions.
The pH value of the solution you create by mixing Plagron Alga Grow and water should be between 6.0 and 6.5. The solution can also be sprayed on plants, for example if your leaves are turning yellow. If you decide to spray, use only 2 ml of fertiliser per 1 litre of water. Mixed fertiliser with water should not be left standing for more than 4 days, as the pH increases after that.
- suitable for spraying
- easy handling
- suitable for mother plants
- not suitable for hydroponic systems

In this fertiliser review, we'd like to highlight that this is a "smart" 3-in-1 fertiliser. It not only nourishes plants or lawns, but thanks to its two herbicide content, it also eliminates dicotyledonous weeds. This is what sets it apart from other fertilisers that nourish plants, lawns and unfortunately weeds too. This fertiliser will rid you of weeds and strengthen lawn density. It's effective against moss, daisies, dandelions, cleavers, thistles and more.
If you're establishing a new lawn, it's best to apply the fertiliser about a month after laying. Otherwise, you can spread it on your lawn at the beginning of spring season. It works for two months, then you can reapply. As this is a granulated mix, it must be applied evenly to the lawn. If you have a large area to treat, use a spreader; for small areas, hand spreading will suffice. Don't forget to wear gloves when spreading by hand.
It's ideal if you apply the fertiliser before rain, so it starts dissolving and working more effectively. If rain isn't forecast, water the lawn with a watering can or hose. If you're planning to mow the lawn, always do so at least two days after application. Children and pets can run on the lawn after 24 hours.
The shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture. The fertiliser is labelled 3-in-1 because it contains not only herbicides to eliminate weeds and fertiliser for nutrition, but also zeolite, which can bind nutrients and aerate the soil.
Its effects have been verified by many users who agree that it is perhaps the only fertiliser that really works. It is easy to apply and works for about as long as stated on the label, which is 2 months.
From an environmental perspective, it's not entirely ideal that the fertiliser contains 2 herbicides, but apparently it's only thanks to these ingredients that it is so effective. Its main disadvantage, which may deter many users, is its relatively high price. However, the results correspond to its cost.
- works for 2 months
- proven results
- fertilises, aerates, prevents the growth of dicotyledonous weeds
- higher price
Agro Vitality Komplex 1l
Agro Vitality Komplex is a fertiliser accelerator and can be used on both healthy and diseased plants. In healthy plants, it supports their growth, while plants damaged by drought, diseases or pests are regenerated. This fertiliser accelerator differs from other fertilisers in that it contains, in layman's terms, compost extract (vermicompost), which has a beneficial effect on plants and not only on them. Thanks to substances from humus, it refreshes tired and exhausted soil, so you can postpone the need for repotting.
Its use is very simple, as is its preparation. The bottle cap is also a measuring cup, so you know that one full cap dissolves in 1 litre of water (if you're watering the plant normally). If you decide to apply it by spraying, dissolve one cap of fertiliser in 1.5 litres of water. Spray on the leaves, but remember that the plant must not be in direct sunlight.
Vitality komplex is quite universal, so you can use it for woody plants, houseplants, outdoor plants, or fruit plants. During the growing season, give your plants this fertilizer accelerator once a week; outside the growing season, once every 14 days is sufficient. A great advantage of this fertilizer is that it is a natural product.
For good results, use Agro Vitality Komplex and fertilizer. When planting new plants, you can start using Vitality komplex 3 weeks after planting.
- natural product
- compost extracts
- noticeable results
- favorable price
- not a fertilizer itself, but a fertilizer accelerator
Substrate for Houseplants 20l
Substrate for houseplants is suitable for all indoor flowering and non-flowering plants. It is ideal for growing geraniums, mini roses, gloxinia, African violets, fuchsias, and other flowering plants. In reviews of this popular substrate, we would like to mention that it contains bark humus, which is very beneficial for plants.
This is a pre-fertilized substrate, which means it already contains fertilizer - in this case Kristalon, which works for up to 6 weeks. After that, it's good to add light fertilization. Plants obtain additional nutrients from the added Vitality komplex, which is a complex of enzymes and stimulating substances from earthworm digestive tracts. Thanks to this, nutrients from the soil reach the plants much faster and are better utilized.
Thanks to these beneficial substances, the root system strengthens and expands, as well as the above-ground parts of the plant. Due to the acids, the soil doesn't deplete as quickly. This is a classic substrate that you really can't go wrong with. Don't forget that after repotting, the substrate settles a bit, so you need to top it up to ensure the roots have adequate support.
- pre-fertilized
- contains humus
- regenerates soil
Universal Garden Substrate 20L
According to user reviews, the Universal Garden Substrate receives mixed feedback. Some people can't praise it enough, while other growers have problems with the substrate.
Those who praise it state that they buy it repeatedly, that it smells like soil and their plants thrive in it. This is likely because it contains Kristalon fertilizer, which provides nutrition to plants for up to 6 weeks. The presence of Vitality Complex is also important, which supplies nutrients and refreshes the soil so it doesn't become depleted. The humus certainly contributes to the good growth of plants as well. Growers use this substrate for repotting flowers, growing herbs, spices and more. They use it both outdoors and indoors, and it has also found its place in greenhouses.
However, other users report that their tomatoes became twisted after using this substrate or that the crops they planted in it failed. There are also opinions that users brought home flies along with the substrate and that it contained weed seeds. However, they agree that it varies from batch to batch, so it's not possible to draw a definitive conclusion.
- contains fertilizer
- humus additive
- for universal use
