Why Grow Indoors: Basic Facts About Indoor Cultivation
What Will You Need?
Unfortunately, if you want to pursue indoor growing seriously, it will cost you something at the beginning. This is logical because you need to provide the crop with sufficient artificial light, water, and a special container.
Expect especially high electricity consumption, as plants in the growth phase need 6 hours of darkness and 18 hours of light. If you want the plant to flower, you must then ensure 12 hours of darkness and 12 hours of light.
Where Is the Best Location?
However, you must also keep in mind that not every free space inside your home is suitable. The room should maintain a constant temperature between 20-30 degrees. Bear in mind that once you turn on the lights for the plants, the room temperature will rise due to the long-term effect of the light.
Also avoid spaces where mold or spores might occur. An attic room won't be quite right either, as temperatures often fluctuate there due to weather conditions. A suitable place would be, for example, a garage or bathroom.
If you want to ensure the best conditions for your crop, get a sufficiently large grow tent. An excellent choice in terms of price-performance ratio is the Probox 120, which, in addition to a stable construction and Mylar Premium foil with 97% reflectivity, offers more than one square meter of space for your plants or bushes.
Shed Some Light on It!
Another important thing you can't do without are lights. Specifically, lights for growth and special lights for flowering.
Growth lights have a blue spectrum that promotes photosynthesis in plants. And as we know - photosynthesis = plant growth. With these lights, you must ensure a regular regime of 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness. An ideal choice is the Philips HPI-T bulb, which is suitable for young plants and their clones.
For the flowering phase, equip yourself with a light with a yellow spectrum, which you will shine on the plants for 12 hours a day and give them 12 hours of darkness. Don't forget that the size of the inflorescence depends on the bulb's power - that is, the number of watts. You can reach for, for example, the Philips Master SON-T bulb with special PIA technology, or the sodium bulb Osram Nav-T Super 4Y.
Air
Another key element is air and its ventilation, which ensures constantly fresh air for the plants while circulating the air so that the plant aroma doesn't linger in the room. A suitable choice is the Ruck RK inline fan with backward-curved blades and high durability.
To eliminate odors, use the CAN Lite odor filter, which is filled with activated carbon and helps maintain good circulation of fresh air.
Fertilizer
Of course, quality soil is also fundamental to success.
Before actually planting, I recommend a multi-component fertilizer Startup 0.5l, which contains basic plant nutrition elements NPK including minerals for proper growth and root development. After approximately one month from planting, you can start using BioBizz AllMix, which is a biological substrate containing peat moss, worm humus, and perlite.
Another possible combination is using Plagron Cropmax, which you subsequently replace with B'cuzz Bloom Stimulator. Use Plagron Cropmax from seed planting throughout the entire growth phase. Once this phase transitions to the flowering phase, start using B'cuzz Bloom Stimulator, which supports early-stage flowering and helps increase the intensity of the flowering period.
And if you're concerned about pests and want to protect your plants preventively, we offer Brimex Biobest spray.
Indoor growing will cost you a considerable amount of money, but after your first big harvest, you won't regret it. Remember that plants require time and care, but the results are worth it!
